Our Story

Built on one principle: no worker should pay for a promise

ABC Manpower Pvt. Ltd. was registered in Kathmandu in 2008 by a group of recruitment professionals who had spent years watching Nepali workers arrive abroad to find that the job, the salary or the contract was not what they had been told. The company was founded to prove that ethical recruitment and commercial success are not in conflict.

What began as a five-person office in Kamalpokhari now employs 42 staff across recruitment, documentation, trade testing and welfare. We have deployed more than 24,500 workers to 16 countries, and roughly nine in ten of our employer clients return to us for their next demand.

We remain a Nepali family-run business, licensed and audited by the Department of Foreign Employment, and a member in good standing of the Nepal Association of Foreign Employment Agencies.

Message from the Chairman

Rajendra Bahadur Shrestha
Rajendra Bahadur Shrestha
Chairman & Managing Director

When we opened this office in 2008, foreign employment in Nepal had a reputation problem — and much of it was deserved. Too many families had mortgaged land for a job description that turned out to be fiction. We decided that our company would be judged not by how many workers we sent, but by how many of them would recommend us to their own brother.

That standard shapes everything we do. We accept a demand only after we have verified the employer and the contract terms. We explain every clause in Nepali before a candidate signs. We issue a receipt for every rupee. And when something goes wrong abroad — because occasionally it does — we answer the phone.

To the employers reading this: you will find us slower to promise and more rigorous in screening than some of our competitors. That is deliberate, and it is why our workers stay. To the candidates: your ambition deserves an honest partner. Come and talk to us.

Rajendra Bahadur Shrestha
Chairman & Managing Director, ABC Manpower Pvt. Ltd.

Mission & Vision

Two statements we measure ourselves against every year.

Our Mission

To connect Nepali workers with safe, fairly paid employment abroad through a recruitment process that is transparent at every step — verified demands, contracts explained in the candidate's own language, government-capped fees issued against receipts, and support that continues after departure.

  • Zero tolerance for unauthorised sub-agents
  • Every contract explained before signing
  • A named coordinator for every candidate

Our Vision

To be the recruitment agency Nepali families recommend to each other, and the first name international employers think of when they need a reliable, well-prepared workforce from Nepal — recognised as a benchmark for ethical recruitment across South Asia.

  • Skill-first placement, not volume-first
  • Expansion into regulated European labour markets
  • Fully digital candidate tracking by 2028
